Shrine's Festival in the Weekend
The Sengen-Jinja near by my place held a matsuri, Japanese festival over this weekend. They celebrated something...actually I didn't know exactly what was celebrated but it seemed to hold this time so importantly.
I watched red and yellow lanterns along the streets from the station and the shrine to near my place for this week. Especially they were exciting at night because of that color in the dark. Yesterday and today, I heard the Japanese small drums and Japanese flute during the day time. Old men and girls played the instruments separately, which made me excited. Men and small number of women carried a float down the street with rhythmical and strong voices which is like music. There were some shops of foods and games for kids near the shrine and shop streets.
Every time I watch the Japanese festival and hear the sounds I really feel that I am absolutely a Japanese. These scenes boost my feeling and sometime feel like crying because I am happy in the scene.
I enjoyed such feeling in this weekend.
